How To Cut Energy Cords
This is a simple Cord Cutting Spell to aid you in cutting energy cords & releasing emotional attachments to unhealthy relationships, past relationships, unwanted connections, physical places, jobs, those in the spirit realm, ancestral curses, trauma, & unhealthy habits.
You will need:
- Two candles of your choice
- 8-10 inches of cord or twine
- Two small fireproof bowls of sea salt
- Crystals, runes, herbs, etc., for protection &/or self-love
- Matches or a lighter
- Salt
Cleanse your space:
Burn Sage, Palo Santo, Spray Aura Cleansing Spray, or Florida Water.
Start your ritual by smudging, creating sacred space, or casting a circle, whatever you feel comfortable doing to begin.
Make a circle with your cord or twine by tying the ends together. Twist the cord three times, & loop each end onto each candle.
Put each of your candles into your bowls of salt. Use enough salt that your candles will stand upright. Add runes, herbs &/or the crystals of your choice around in & around the bowls. Make it known which candle is you & which candle is the entity you want to cut cords with by using photos, carving initials, or visualizing.
Light the candles.
Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, & feel this person’s energy. Try to come to a place of compassion if you can. Visualize & feel your energy returning to you.
Burn any photos or related paper using the candles’ flames.
Watch the candles burn to the point where the cord catches fire. As the cord is burning, recite:
“I thank you for the lessons you taught me. I hereby release all energetic ties we share. I send all of your energy back to you & set you free. I apologize for anything I may have hurt you with, & I forgive you. I release you of any debt or guilt you might have towards me. Hereby we are completely separate beings, & any free energy might return to the Great Universe.”
Allow the cord to burn & separate.
The ritual space closes when the candles have burned down on their own.
Discard the wax. Please be mindful of where you dump your salt & respect the wildlife in your local waters, 🚽 is best! ☠︎︎
As you clean up your area, say:
“Spirit of the water, please accept & wash away any of ______’s (name) remaining energy. I release it from whence it came. Thank you.”
Close your circle, wash your hands & cleanse your space.
